Refund & Return Policy

At Techpal, we are committed to client satisfaction regarding our software development and consulting services. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully.

Last updated: November 18, 2025

1.

Custom Software Development & Projects

All fees paid for custom software development projects are generally non-refundable once work has commenced. This is because project resources, time, and custom intellectual property are consumed immediately upon initiation.

  • Fixed-Price Projects: Refunds will be determined based on the percentage of work completed and the terms outlined in the specific Service Agreement or Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Time & Materials (T&M) Projects: Payments for hours already logged and approved are final and non-refundable.
2.

Retainer & Consulting Fees

Fees paid for monthly retainer services or upfront consulting blocks are allocated to resource reservation and consulting time.

  • Monthly Retainers: The current month's retainer fee is non-refundable. Future retainer payments can be cancelled according to the notice period specified in your retainer agreement (typically 30 days).
  • Unused Consulting Hours: If you pre-purchased a block of consulting hours, any unused and unexpired hours may be eligible for a partial refund upon termination of the agreement, subject to a reasonable administrative fee.
3.

Refund & Credit Process

Once a refund or service credit request is approved based on the terms of your contract, the process is as follows:

  • Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days following approval.
  • Method: Refunds are typically issued to the same payment method used for the initial purchase or may be provided as a service credit against future invoices, as mutually agreed upon.
4.

Cancellation of Services

Cancellation of any active project or retainer must be made in writing via email or through the official client portal.

  • Projects: Cancellation is subject to payment for all work completed up to the date of cancellation, plus any applicable termination fees outlined in the Service Agreement.
  • Retainers: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the required notice period (usually 30 days), and the client is responsible for fees accrued during that period.
